  • Intinerary

4 Days – Explore Lake Mburo N.P

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe, greet and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with a stop at the Equator.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with arrival formalities. Depending on your arrival time, you may exchange currency and, if time allows, take a city tour to explore shopping malls and craft villages. Afterward, embark on a scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park, with a stop at the Equator to experience the water demonstration and stand in both hemispheres.

Accommodation: Rwakobo Rock
Meal Plan: Full Board

Day 2: Morning Guided Game Drive to the Kazuma Look out – Afternoon Boat Safari on Lake Mburo

Start the day with breakfast, followed by an exciting guided game drive in a 4x4 pop-up safari vehicle along Lake Mburo's eastern tracks. Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Mburo and nearby lakes, culminating in a climb to Kazuma Lookout. In the afternoon, embark on a two-hour boat safari from the Lakeside Campsite jetty, exploring the eastern shores, spotting crocodiles, hippos, and diverse birdlife, including pelicans, herons, fish eagles, and the occasional finfoot and shoebill.

Accommodation: Rwakobo Rock
Meal Plan: Full Board

Day 3: Morning Guided walking Safari – Relax for the Night game drive

After breakfast, embark on a guided walking safari led by an armed ranger, offering a unique chance to explore Lake Mburo on foot. Walk to the hyena den, marvel at the rock formations (kopjes) where klipspringers and topis blend seamlessly with the landscape, and enjoy the remarkable sight of zebras grazing peacefully alongside the long-horned Ankole cattle. Approaching wildlife at such close range provides an unforgettable safari experience.
In the evening, prepare for an exhilarating night game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot nocturnal animals such as bushbabies, pottos, and, with a bit of luck, a leopard.

Accommodation: Mihingo Lodge
Meal Plan: Full Board

Day 4: Morning Guided Horseback Safari – Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for Departure

In the morning, enjoy a guided horseback safari through the diverse eastern region of Lake Mburo National Park, led by experienced guides from the lodge. After the ride, return for a full breakfast before beginning your transfer to Entebbe. En route, stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers, where you can watch artisans craft ceremonial drums using traditional methods passed down through generations.
