3 Days – Murchison Falls NP

Day 1: 7:00am Scenic Drive to Murchison Falls National Park – 4:00PM guided game drive

Your adventure begins early at 7:00 AM, setting off on a scenic drive to the captivating Murchison Falls National Park. As you journey northward, you’ll pass through lush landscapes and local villages, providing glimpses of Uganda’s vibrant culture and breathtaking nature. Around 1:00pm, enjoy lunch at your lodge and relax for a while. By 4:00 PM, you’ll enter the park and begin an exhilarating guided game drive through the wildlife-rich savannah. Keep an eye out for magnificent elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and if lucky, lions lounging in the golden afternoon light. With a knowledgeable guide, this first encounter with the park's wildlife will set the tone for an unforgettable safari experience. Afterward, you’ll head to your lodge for a restful evening amidst the sounds of the African bush.

Day 2: Morning game drive - Afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls & night game drive.

Rise with the dawn for an early morning game drive, an ideal time to witness the park’s wildlife at its most active. As the sun begins to rise, your guide will lead you to areas where predators like lions and leopards are often seen hunting, while elephants, giraffes, and countless bird species greet the new day. After an exciting morning, return to your lodge for a relaxing breakfast and later lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat cruise up the Nile to the base of the iconic Murchison Falls. Marvel at the powerful cascade of water as it surges through a narrow gorge, creating misty rainbows and an incredible display of nature's force. Along the way, you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife along the riverbanks.
After sunset, prepare for a unique night game drive. In the cover of darkness, experience the park’s nocturnal wildlife, from elusive predators to smaller creatures that only emerge after dusk. This thrilling night-time adventure will provide a different perspective on the park’s ecosystem before you return to your lodge for a restful night’s sleep.

Day 03: Morning visit to the top of the falls – Return to KLA

Begin your final day with a morning visit to the breathtaking top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River dramatically forces its way through a narrow gorge, plunging into a frothy pool below. From this vantage point, marvel at the sheer power of the falls and capture unforgettable photos of one of Uganda’s most iconic natural wonders. After soaking in the views and the misty spray of the falls, begin your relaxed journey back to Kampala. Reflect on the incredible wildlife and landscapes experienced over the past few days as you make your way back, arriving in Kampala in the late afternoon.
